Where the craft of building meets the light of inner knowing
Gnostic Mason is an independent study group exploring the intersection of Freemasonry and Gnostic thought. We gather seekers who feel that the degrees, symbols, and allegories of the Craft contain deeper esoteric layers waiting to be uncovered.
We are not a lodge, nor do we confer degrees. We are students, drawn together by a shared conviction: that the Great Work is also an interior one. We read ancient texts, compare symbolic traditions, and hold open discussions in a spirit of brotherly inquiry.
All are welcome regardless of degree, affiliation, or background. Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
"Know thyself, and thou shalt know the universe and the gods."
Temple of Apollo at DelphiGnostic Mason serves as one pathway toward the Order Intus Vide. Those who participate in the study group and who demonstrate the qualities and character suited to the Order may, in time, receive an invitation to join.
Membership in this study group is not a guarantee of admission. The Order observes its members quietly, over time, and extends invitations only when it judges the moment to be right.
The Order Intus Vide is not a Masonic body. There is no Masonic pathway into the Order. It does not sit within any obedience, grand lodge, or recognised Masonic structure. Admission is by invitation only, regardless of one's standing within Freemasonry.
If you are drawn to the Order, the best course is simply to engage sincerely with this study group, continue your inner work, and let your character speak for itself.
Our study is organised around four pillars, each illuminating a different facet of the esoteric tradition.
The square, compass, plumb, and level as instruments of inner architecture. Reading the lodge as a map of the human soul.
Primary study of the Nag Hammadi library, Valentinian theology, the Gospel of Thomas, and related Hermetic writings.
The hidden mathematical order underlying temple design, ritual space, and the broader tradition of the divine craftsman.
Meditation, contemplative reading, and ritual reflection as complements to intellectual study.
The Gentle Ascent forms part of the philosophical foundation of both the Order Intus Vide and the School of Gnostics. Those who feel called to go deeper are encouraged to begin here.
A clear and compassionate map for inner growth through seven levels of consciousness, from survival and ego, through seeking and self-observation, and into unity, purpose, and complete integration. A grounded guide for those who feel the quiet question inside them, even when life looks fine on the outside.
Order a CopyGnostic Mason exists alongside two sister projects. Each serves a different audience and purpose, but all share the same spirit of sincere inquiry.
